Stevens Vineyard Semillon
Wine
Tyrrell's Stevens Vineyard Semillon draws from the southernmost of Tyrrell's Semillon sites, the Stevens family's Glen Oak Vineyard. Its earliest plantings were in 1911.
The fruit is harvested in the early hours of the morning, then lightly crushed and pressed. After a relatively cool ferment, the wine spends minimal time on lees prior to early bottling. There is no oak influence.
The wine is then tucked away to develop and mature in bottle prior to release.
Vibrant green, Tyrrell's Stevens Vineyard Semillon is rich and complex, unveiling intricate aged characters. Cellaring potential is a further five years from release.
